“This is significant”: AFL to freeze GA ticket prices again at the MCG and Marvel

The AFL has again put a price freeze on general admission tickets for matches at the MCG and Marvel Stadium for 2025.
It marks the seventh-straight season of the price freeze, with GA tickets at the venues $27 for adults, $18 for concessions and $5 for juniors. The exact same price as they were in 2019 and since.
The AFL announced the news on Thursday morning, leading SEN’s Sam Edmund to laud the extraordinary decision during a cost-of-living crisis on SEN Breakfast.
“I think this is significant,” Edmund said.
“Seven years in a row they've frozen general admission ticket prices for AFL games, which is quite extraordinary really.
“It'll be $27 for GA this year for all matches at Marvel Stadium and the MCG across the home and away season.
“For Geelong games at GMHBA Stadium, the general admission cost is $30.
“Concessions and juniors are also at the same as it cost was in 2019, which is quite extraordinary.”
Tickets for the 2025 AFL home and away season at the MCG and Marvel Stadium go on sale to AFL and club members on Tuesday, February 9.
The general public can purchase tickets one day later from Wednesday, February 19.
