This week on The Six Again Podcast, Pip and Rav review two thrilling preliminary finals, which saw the Raiders and Titans eliminated, and discuss what it will take for the remaining sides to claim or maintain a premiership.
The hosts look ahead to Sunday’s NRLW grand final, as the Roosters and Broncos prepare to meet in a rematch of last year’s decider.
The Roosters head into the grand final almost unbeaten across the past two years, with their only defeat coming in last year’s finale, after a try from Mele Hufanga, who has since joined the Warriors, sealed the deal for the Broncos.
There is plenty on the line for both teams, especially as Roosters teammates Millie Elliott and Corban Baxter are preparing to retire, as is Broncos five-eighth and NRLW great Ali Brigginshaw.
Pip and Rav also reflect on Wednesday’s Dally M Awards, discussing the winners, award eligibility and how their predictions from last week compared with the results.
With the Rugby League World Cup approaching, the hosts also turn their attention to player availability, international allegiances, and consider how a suspected Wahine Warriors fallout could affect selection as Ron Griffiths enters his first year as Kiwi Ferns assistant coach.
