Scans confirm season's end for Bomber ruckman
Essendon ruckman Sam Draper will miss the remainder of the 2025 season after scans confirmed an Achilles rupture.

Draper left the ground in the final term of the Bombers' two-point win over the Eagles, going to ground after attempting to take off towards a marking contest.
SEN's Tom Morris confirmed the news, stating that the 26-year-old will have surgery next week.
With both Draper and Nick Bryan out with injury, 36-year-old Todd Goldstein is expected to play in the Bombers' upcoming fixtures, with young ruck Vigo Visentini continuing to develop in the VFL.
