St Kilda is set to sign Norwood ruckman Harry Boyd as a Supplemental Selection Period addition according to The Age’s Pete Ryan.
Boyd won the Magarey Medallist at the SANFL’s best and fairest player in 2024 alongside former Don Will Snelling.
The 26-year-old stands at 198cm and 108kg and SEN’s Julian De Stoop expects the tall to be a solid backup for No. 1 ruck Rowan Marshall.
“Pete Ryan has some news out of the Saints that they’re set to sign Norwood ruckman and Magarey Medallist Harry Boyd as an SSP signing,” De Stoop told SEN Mornings.
“He’s almost 200cm and he’ll be a backup ruck for Rowan Marshall.
“They do need a bit of backup for Marshall with Tom Campbell gone to Melbourne and Jack Hayes gone as well after being delisted.
“So, they’re going to lock in Harry Boyd as an SSP addition.”
On top of Marshall, St Kilda currently has 22-year-old Max Heath on their list and 18-year-old Alex Dodson as ruck options.
The Saints open their 2025 season with a Round 1 clash against Adelaide on Sunday, March 16.
