Locked in: Collingwood secure free agent Maynard long-term
Brayden Maynard is locked in for four more years at Collingwood after signing a new deal through to the end of 2029, reports SEN's Tom Morris.
The rugged defender was set to enter unrestricted free agency at the end of the 2025 season and was reportedly being chased by the likes of North Melbourne, but will now remain at the AIA Centre for the next four seasons.
The 28-year-old has been a mainstay for Collingwood across 219 games since being drafted with pick No. 30 in the 2014 draft.
The 2023 premiership player was named an All-Australian in 2022 and has been a club vice-captain over the last three seasons.
He has missed Collingwood's last two games with a foot injury but could make a return for the ladder leaders after their Round 14 bye to face St Kilda in Round 15.
