The 2025 AFL season predictions are coming thick and fast.
Melbourne great Garry Lyon was next to get in on the act, predicting his top 8 for the season ahead.
Lyon made two changes to the 2024 top eight omitting both the Western Bulldogs and Port Adelaide with Collingwood and Fremantle replacing them as finalists.
While Lyon left Melbourne out of the top eight, he told his SEN Breakfast co-host Tim Watson, that he hopes the Demons can prove him wrong and play finals in 2025.
Lyon: “I’m going to give you my eight.
“Giants, Lions, Pies, Hawks, Swans, Dockers, Cats and Blues.”
Watson: “You left Melbourne out?”
Lyon: “I've left the Demons out, but hopefully I’m wrong.”
Watson: “So you're making two changes to last year's top eight?”
Lyon: “Port and the Dogs are the two that I’ve left out.”
