Against all odds, St Kilda ruckman Rowan Marshall has landed at Geelong, with the Cats and the Saints agreeing to a deal in the dying stages of the AFL trade period.
The St Kilda ruckman requested to leave the club following their acquisition of free agent Tom De Koning, nominating the Cats as his future home.
Despite now holding two elite ruckman, St Kilda were adamant that Marshall would remain at the club, maintaining belief that Marshall and De Koning could operate within the same system.
