With the first T20 with England approaching this weekend, Sport Nation’s Millsy and Guy spoke to Blackcaps bowler Kyle Jamieson on how the team is fairing after the series defeat to Australia, and how preparations are going.
Something they won’t need to prepare for is the presence of some familiar faces, including Brendon McCullum, Jeetan Patel, and Tim Southee.
“Certainly a bit of Kiwi flavour to their coaching staff isn’t it?” Jamieson joked.
“It’ll be cool to see these guys over the next week or so.
“They’ve obviously done a pretty good job with the English boys, so yeah, excited to go up against some guys you know quite well.”
With the ICC T20 World Cup taking place in India and Sri Lanka this February-March, the upcoming three-match series against England serve as ideal preparation for Rob Walter's New Zealand side as players look to put their hand up for selection.
Join Sport Nation’s award-winning commentary team for live ball-by-ball coverage of the Blackcaps vs England - the first T20 at Hagley Oval is live from 7pm Saturday.
