Versatile Western Bulldog Buku Khamis is seeking a trade to Carlton.
The Age’s Pete Ryan is reporting that the 25-year-old has informed the Bulldogs that he wishes to be traded to the Blues this trade period.
Khamis is seeking regular opportunities after playing 14 games in 2025.
The Dogs are believed to be open to a trade, but given Khamis is contracted for next season they won’t let him go cheaply.
Carlton is bracing to lose Jack Silvagni to St Kilda via free agency and are eager to add some depth alongside Jacob Weitering in a key defensive post.
Khamis has played as both a defender and a forward with the Doggies. He has played 41 AFL games in red, white and blue.
Another current Dog whose future is up in the air is Jamarra Ugle-Hagan.
The troubled forward is expected to learn his fate this week with the Dogs likely to make a call on the contracted former no.1 draft pick.
