West Coast's assistance package from AFL revealed
AFL.com.au journalist Cal Twomey has confirmed that the AFL’s assistance package for the West Coast Eagles.

The 2025 Wooden Spooners were expected to receive a package from the AFL, having mounted just a single win in 2025, finishing dead last for the second time since 2023 and in the bottom three for four straight seasons.
According to Twomey, the club will receive a total of four rookie list spots, with the AFL allowing the club to maintain those list spots through until 2028.
The AFL has also awarded the Eagles with an end-of-first round draft pick for the upcoming National Draft, landing at pick 19 prior to NGA and academy bids. In contrary to previous assistance packages, the Eagles will not be required to trade the pick, instead having the ability to select a further first round talent.
With their package, the Eagles are likely to enter the draft with Pick 1, 2 (compensation for Oscar Allen departure), 15 and 19.
