Connors would be “shocked” if Daicos ever left Pies
Player agent extraordinaire Paul Connors expects Nick Daicos to play out his career with Collingwood.
The Magpies superstar has already been linked with Tasmania, mainly through hypotheticals of how much cash the Devils might be able to throw at him as they prepare to enter the AFL.
It was also reported by AFL Media in the trade period that multiple clubs had reached out to the 22-year-old “to see if he would be interested in a move away from the Magpies”.
SEN’s Kane Cornes asked Connors if we would ever see an offer significant enough to turn Daicos’ head.

Cornes said: “Is there a price that’s too big to say no to for Nick Daicos? If someone comes with a ridiculous offer, a Gary Ablett type offer, that he’s just going to have to say yes?”
But Connors, whose stable manages Daicos, simply cannot see a world in which he leaves the Pies.
He fails to believe that any offer would ever appease the Pies.
Connors replied: “I think he’s born and bred Collingwood, isn’t he?
“That’s where the benefits are - he’s contracted for another three years. So you wouldn’t dream that there was anything that could be given to Collingwood to let Nick go.
“I would be shocked if Nick doesn’t play out his career at Collingwood footy club.”
Daicos is currently contracted until the end of 2029 and is seen by many as the next Collingwood captain.
Connors touched on a number of other topics, including Connors Sports Management’s rebrand to CDG Sports Management, the perceived power of player managers in the modern game, and more.
