Mason Cox has confirmed that he will not be playing for Collingwood in 2026.
The American has been a trailblazer in the sport, having managed to play 139 games across 10 seasons at the Magpies.
During that time, he became the first American to win an AFL premiership in 2023, alongside dismantling Richmond with three goals in the second quarter during the 2018 Preliminary Final.
Announcing the decision on Instagram, the 34-year-old was complimentary of his time with Collingwood and towards the club fans, staff and players.
While Cox has now been delisted from the Magpies, he could remain in the AFL should another club pick him up.
Collingwood are yet to release a statement on the matter.
