βAll bulls--tβ: Hayes puts Ka Ying Rising rumours to bed

Speculation has been rife regarding the health of Ka Ying Rising in recent days.
There is so much interest in the superstar Hong Kong sprinter that a fake social media account prompted major betting markets to temporarily suspend betting on the $20 million Everest.
It had been suggested that Ka Ying Rising had gone amiss in the lead-up to this Saturdayβs richest race on turf at Randwick which turned markets on their head.
But trainer David Hayes vehemently insists that his gun galloper, who has won 14 of 16 career starts and 13 in a row, is totally fine after he worked nicely at Canterbury this morning.
βHe worked beautifully this morning, ate all his feed, heβs hydrated and his weight is great,β Hayes said on SENTrack & RSNβs Giddy Up.
βSo bring on the weekend.
βIt was a bit of a shock to the system which I thought funny at first, but then in the end I thought, βwowβ, this is out of control.β
Hayes says he has never seen anything like this in his time in the caper.
βNever, never,β he replied.
βI know itβs a Trump-ism but it was truly fake news.
βI was just 100 per cent wrong. All the horses for The Everest have to get vetted this morning and he got through with flying colours.
βItβs not just him getting vetted, everyone is getting vetted for the race. He passed.
βHeβll get vetted again on Friday, as every other horse will, and thereβs just nothing to worry about. Heβs fine.β
Hayes made it vehemently clear that all is ok and everything else is just rubbish.
βThe great thing about this morning was he was always planned to work, he worked every day and today he had his final gallop. Everyone could see thereβs nothing wrong with him,β he saif further.
βHeβs been vetted. Itβs just all bulls--t.β
Should there be an investigation into the situation?
βI think it warrants one. Itβs a keyboard warrior with a bit of a joke that has affected so many people.
βItβs caused a lot of stress.
βWhether it was a punting angle or somethingβ¦ but itβs not very nice when peopleβs accounts are getting hacked.
βThey say thereβs a fake one of me ringing the owner on WhatsApp. I donβt know how you impersonate my accent. I donβt speak to the owner because he doesnβt speak English.β
Despite a drift in some markets, Ka Ying Rising remains a popular favourite for The Everest at Randwick this Saturday.
The barrier draw takes place on Tuesday night once the 12th and final slot is filled.
