Wednesday best bets from Luke & Taggart (10/12)
Cam Luke & David Taggart have your Wednesday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Sandown & Wyong in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇

SANDOWN
Race 1 | 7. Lady Verity
Was great resuming in breaking the maiden and I think up to the 1200m only works better for this girl. Inside gate is absolutely key. Mott can hold the fence and dictate the race without a massive amount of speed outside of Bold Bordeaux. This is tougher but she has the class to handle it easily and even though she is short at $2.40 she will be too good!
Race 2 | 13. Yellowjacket
There is no doubt that Thanks Gorgeous is the one to beat but she is way too short from that wide gate and needing to go forward for me to dive into. Yellow Jacket who was really good, ok debit on at Pakenham and stepping up to the 1200m is a massive tick. She will go back so there is a slight concern there, but I think there’ll be some speed on and she’ll have every chance to have last crack at them. I’d rather have a small bet on her then take odds on for the favourite who’s had some chances albeit in much tougher races.
Race 3 | 16. Mission Of Joy
Was slow away on debut but has had a jump out since and jumped really well. She ran through the line in that race which makes me think the step up to the 1200m won’t be a concern at all. She’s drawn perfectly to stalk the lead and the speed and they’re gonna have to run her down in the straight. Aliano is the danger for me! Was ok at the 1000m resuming but obvious that the 1200m first better. Is drawn well but will be behind MOJ in the run hence the reason for me backing the girl!
WYONG
Race 3 | 8. Spice Baby
Thought she was pretty good last start when rundown late and up to the 1200m even though it’s her first crack shouldn’t pull her up. She is drawn to control the race either leading on rail or more likely outside leader Thankful Heart and that works around this track! Good track is a win and the weight relief she has from COD will hold her in good stead late!
Race 4 | 4. Paradoxium
Bjorn Baker will win this race and I’m with this colt because he maps better than Masvingo. Has trialled well since being tipped out after debut run in Bredses. Had to ease of heels in straight so probably should have even finished a smidge closer in a tougher race. He will stalk CIA (who will push over form a wide gate) and sit 1 out 1 back. 1100m no concern, he is the one they have to beat! His stablemate I’m worried will get back and from gate 1 will need all the luck but was good in the Gimcrack without luck but will a storming again late.
Race 5 | 7. Vivian's Express
Has trialled up well and that first prep was pretty impressive albeit without winning and then went bang when in for a one run prep! Drawn really nicely today and the 3 trials means she will be ready for the 1100m first-up! It’s a nice kick off race for her and I backed her at $8 and expect the money to come late because I think she is a massive chance and well over the odds!

WYONG
Race 3 | 1. Confess Our Dreams
Is the best horse in the race who will appreciate the huge class drop and a 3 kilo claim. Draws soft outside of the favourite who will lead and will sit off it and have a bunny to chase. Failed only run over 1200m which was in a G3 beaten 5.5 lengths.
SANDOWN
Race 1 | 7. Lady Verity
Is the main go here as she led all the way to win her maiden as a two on pop by two lengths. Draws pole and will control the race, will be hard to beat.
Race 2 | 11. Thanks Gorgeous
Looks a good thing after competing in a hot fillies race last start beaten 2 lengths by Inkaruna and finished alongside My Gladiola. All career has been thrown into the deep end, and she finally finds her race. No price but wins.
