Miles Pfitzner & Cam Luke have your Wednesday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Sandown, Canterbury, Pinjarra & Balaklava in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Miles Pfitzner
SANDOWN
Race 4 | 12. Legacy Bay
Comes out of a very competitive BM70 here on the hillside. Similar conditions here and the race much easier. Don’t want it too far back.
Race 5 | 4. Sassy Jenni
Jumpouts have looked solid as a rock. I thought showed enough in a couple of good quality 3yo black type races. Tongue tie on, which may explain last start and should be leader or leaders back.
CANTERBURY
Race 4 | 10. Celtic Sin
More like Celtic win. One danger here is Narbold but should have the best run in transit from gate 2.
PINJARRA
Race 3 | 1. Peter Gunn
Just missed when supported on debut at Northam. Fitter. Expect some improvement. Don’t take under evens as unsure on the price.
BALAKLAVA
Race 5 | 1. From The Block
Not a noted winner but last start hard to exclude. Not sure that price we get but under evens leave it alone.
Cam Luke
SANDOWN
Race 3 | 6. Margie's Boy
Little freshen works after running well in tougher Sydney races. Loves the toe in the ground and expect to get a cushy run from the gate. He wasn’t far off Step Aside three back and he came to Melb and ran huge! It’s a very open race but I like this blokes fitness compared to a couple resuming (Naval Academy and One Long Day)Race 5 | 4. Sassy Jenni
Was in much better races in 1st prep (Growing Empire Bellatrix star) albeit only at the one track. She will have a lovely run in transit and she might even push up and lead if Brutalina isn’t as fast early as I expect. Has jumped out well and seems ready for this and comes to hand early as proven by her debut win.
CANTERBURY
Race 3 | 5. Kilonova
Won on debut and tipped out and judging by trials has come back better. Wasn’t asked to do much at all and was right there on line. There is some speed so can stalk Signor Tortoni who will lead and go bang. Been scratched a couple of times in last week or so and that suggests Waller waiting for a reason and today fits.
Race 4 | 10. Celtic Sin
I am wary of Narbold but taking him on 1st time Sydney way and heavy track with this filly. No doubt got every favour last start but speed maps to get identical today. She was brilliant that day and I like the little freshen and only going up 50m. Horse she beat easily went on to win (easier race than this) but she handles heavy and will be very hard to beat. I’ve included Narbold in quad if he handles all the changes as this is easier than Flem and he is classy but too many red flags for me to back him.
Race 6 | 3. Hanau
Was good first up when had zero luck and still hit the line. Heavy track form doesn’t read perfect but it’s not as bad as it looks as they have been in tougher races than this and right on back of winners. He does run well second up. He might need a smidge of luck wiht the speed with a smaller field but I think he should get it with Sov Hill and Silentsyaat in the race and i think he is the classiest horse in this race
