Thursday best bets from Luke & Hyland (14/08)
Cam Luke & Sam Hyland have your Thursday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a look at Bendigo, Newcastle, Ipswich & Bunbury to bring the Track family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Cam Luke
Newcastle: Race 5, No.3 - IN AND OUTHasn’t been rushed by Waller and has trialled very easily. Was in tougher races last prep and clearly the claim and the speed map (will sit OSL California Command) help. Ran really well on debut here and in an open race with only 1 being on a Heavy before (good karma) I’m going to go with the bloke who I think has most upside.
Newcastle: Race 6, No.9 - BALLINDERRY SALLOVES the heavy and the little freshen up back to 1250 works. Got no weight on its back and was really good in a tougher race last start 5 weeks back. Drawn nicely but small field will play to his advantage in the speed map. Frontex is the classiest horse in the race but 1st up on Heavy a small concern when there is a slop specialist in the race but if it upgrades I’ll seriously consider backing him instead but on a Heavy I’m with BS.
Bendigo: Race 4, No.3 - PHINEASEverything that could go wrong on debut did. Never tracked well, got left a smidge flat footed, had to change runs 8 times and then after all that savaged the line like I do a McDonalds Double Quarter Pounder. Up to 1600, more space at Bendigo and a slightly better gate helps all round. He will be back in the field but not quite as far as Cranbourne and with a clear run will relish every metre of the 1,600 of them. Really like him! Leaving LV clearly the danger but his record makes me nervous he is a follower albeit his run last start in town was full of merit but Phineas will go whoosh late!
Bendigo: Race 8, No.6 - CHEST OF GOLDHas trialled up really well and drawn inside to have very little pressure in the run. His 1st prep form is wi measure up to this behind horses like Astral Flame & No Strings etc. Bit Of Shoosh and Bantam have both been in nice races last prep but BOS has a tricky gate and will get back and Bantam was a little meh about 1st up. I have included all 3 in the quaddie but I’ve back Gold due to speed map and I think he has come back even better and that combo will be enough to see him be hard to beat.

Sam Hyland
Bendigo: Race 3, No.4 - LACK OF RESTRAINT is one of the unluckiest horses going around & last start was dragged back through the field & was a huge run. Just normal luck in running & this will win.
Newcastle: Race 6 No.9 - BALLINDERRY SAL will be improved from the first-up run where she ran very well, second-up form is sound. Has the claim & a good draw so can will be getting home hard, looks a good bet.
Ipswich: Race 3, No.9 - CHAMPAGNE TOWER will be cherry ripe after two runs in & is a tough hardy sort. Can win.
Bunbury: Race 3, No.2 - REBELNADO has been about the money & had the hoof on the till. Should be hard to beat.
