SEN 1170am records audience growth in Survey 2
Sports Entertainment Network’s (SEN) 1170am in Sydney has recorded audience growth across all day parts and key demographics, according to GfK Radio 360’s Survey 2 2026 results, released today.
The station increased its cumulative audience to 135,000, reflecting broader gains across the schedule and continued momentum for SEN’s Sydney‑based sports programming.
All weekday shows - Kick Off with Brandy and Jimmy (with Greg ‘Brandy’ Alexander and Jimmy Smith), The Front Office with Vossy (with Andrew Voss), Arvos with Adam Peacock, The Run Home with Joel & Fletch (with Bryan Fletcher and Justin Horo/Chad Townsend) and Sportsday with Mat Rogers and Jarrod Croker - showed increase in audience share and cumulative audience.
In New South Wales, SEN 1170am’s digital audience continued to expand alongside its radio footprint, reaching 270,000 web and app users during Survey 2. Total streams increased 22% year‑on‑year, while social engagement surged, with social impressions up 33% and social video views rising 203% YoY. Podcast downloads also grew 11%, reinforcing SEN’s strength across audio, video and social platforms in the NSW market.
The digital results were underpinned by strong on‑demand performance from SEN 1170am’s Sydney‑produced podcasts, released earlier this week. SEN 1170am was confirmed as New South Wales’ leading sports radio podcast producer, accounting for four NSW‑produced titles in the Australian Podcast Ranker Top 300, representing 27% of all NSW radio shows in the rankings.
The Run Home with Joel & Fletch (with Bryan Fletcher and Justin Horo/Chad Townsend) led the station’s performance, ranking third overall among NSW radio shows by monthly downloads, with 147,504 downloads, finishing ahead of several major commercial radio competitors. Other SEN 1170am podcasts including Morning Glory with Matty Johns (#185), Kick Off with Brandy and Jimmy (#200) and SEN League (#246) also delivered strong national audiences, highlighting depth across the station’s rugby league and daily sports offering.
SEN’s Group Radio Director, Sam Thompson, said the Survey 2 results reflected steady progress for the network’s Sydney operation.
“Survey 2 shows continued growth for SEN 1170am across radio, digital and podcasts, and importantly across the full day rather than a single program or platform,” Thompson said. “The combination of increasing cumulative audience and strong podcast and digital engagement shows that our Sydney content is continuing to build connection with sports fans across New South Wales.”
