With Australia wrapping up a 2-0 series victory in Sri Lanka, the sideâs attention next turns to the World Test Championship Final against South Africa at Lordâs.
While the Australian set-up typically sticks with a winning team, the change of conditions from the sub-continent to England will surely bring some changes to the XI that suited up for the second Test in Galle.
With this World Test Championship Final the result of a two-year campaign from 2023 to 2025, will the players that got the side there earn an opportunity in the decider? Or will selectors go with those that are in form right now?
SEN The New Ball pair Bharat Sundaresan and Tom Morris tried their hands at picking the XI for the Final, with the duo discussing their big calls and tough selections.
âIâm going to open very predictably with Sam Konstas and Usman Khawaja, mainly because I want the English to get annoyed at Konstas,â Sundaresan said on SENâs The New Ball.
âMarnus will stay ⊠Cameron Green bats at six.
âI have Boland, I think Iâm going to play him over Hazlewood.â

âIâm going to bat Steve Smith at three and Cameron Green at four,â Morris said.
âBeau Webster is at six, and it was Webster v Inglis, that hurts me, but his (Inglisâ) time will come.
âIâm also playing the four bowlers that have been so consistent for a long time, Hazlewood, Lyon, Starc and Cummins.â
