SENTrack: Tasracing's Sunday best bets at Devonport (01/06)
The Tassie winter begins with an eight-race card in Devonport on the synthetic.
The first of the day is scheduled for 11:40am.

Best bet
Race 8 – 3. Spring Bean
This looks like the perfect race for Spring Bean, stepping up to 1650m at his fourth run for the campaign with blinkers going back on. The quinella spaced the rest last time, and Chicane will be well-found to frank that form early in the program. I’d be happy to take anything in the black about Spring Bean, who has been heavily supported in all three starts this time in.
Next best
Race 1 – 12. Roundle Park
Despite being beaten at skinny odds in both career starts, Roundle Park has lost few admirers and does appear to have run into a couple of smart horses. The 2yo again takes on the older horses here, and I think the wide draw will dictate that Jackson Radley will try to cross and find the top. I think Roundle Park will open his winning account if he can lead without doing too much work.
Best value
Race 2 – 5. Sugoi Legend
On a day with small fields, and I suspect some well-found favourites, Sugoi Legend will likely be worth an each-way ticket in the staying race. He went around at big odds in Hobart, making good ground to run into second on the part of the track that most wanted to avoid. Two of his three career wins have come at the distance, and he’ll appreciate a return to his home track where he’s placed in three of five, including a win.
