Cam Luke & David Taggart have your Saturday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Caulfield & Rosehill in a bid to find the family some winners.

CAULFIELD
Race 3 | 10. Mercurial Lady
Not often I would tip a horse from a Ballarat synthetic maiden win in town but that’s how well this girl won last start. Obviously she didn’t beat a city class field but she ran fast, albeit data ain’t my strong point. She looked great to the eye. She had a leg in the air and I expect a bit of speed (Stage Screen/Bewitchery) she can go forward and sit right outside the leader and go bang.
Race 7 | 6. Raikoke
Going to need some luck from that gate but with the rail out 12 it lessens that worry. Was really good resuming in a very similar race and beat Moby Dick home that day and he is in the market today. Flies second up and no rain would be a positive as well! Will squeeze forward and can sit OSL Chinqui (also wide) and dictate the race. Zou Sensation deserves fav based on no luck last start but he can get back a little and from barrier one that could work against him today.
Race 9 | 8. Yellow Sam
Was brilliant first up winning the Topaz in Swan Hill and always runs well second up. Track conditions never worry this bloke and neither will the 1400m especially from that gate! Can park three pairs back off a hot tempo that will be dictated by Oscar's Fortune. Drawn next to The Open who is the bloke to challenge but Yellow Sam always runs well here and I expect the same today!
ROSEHILL
Race 5 | 1. Spywire
I understand the frustration for punters who have followed this bloke, but this is the easiest race he may ever have been in. His sweet spot is 1100m and he’s drawn nicely to squeeze forward and allow the jockey to use the claim. Private Harry belted them on the Sunshine Coast but he was stuck three wide on speed without cover and this as I said is way easier!! A drying track helps him and forget his last run as 1000m really ain’t his go!!
Race 6 | 1. Green Shadows
Quick back up after barrier ruined his chances last week in a tougher race where he ran well late. From that gate he will be lot more forward and sit on back of Thunderlips who will control race. Up to 1500m works as does the claim of McMurray who can ride!! Hasn’t backed up for a long time so always a little question but I dint expect it to stop him running well which I think he will! Mickey’s Medal is flying but this is big test and Thunderlips overcome some issues last start to win and will be on speed as I said but Shadows for me!
Race 8 | 12. Federer
A few excuses for him when he returned and hopefully from that gate he can get a nice soft run off speed. Drying track helps and if he shows that talent we did see early he is a huge chance. Roper claims 2 which is a tock as is the rise to 1800m as he profiles like a 2000m horse. The stablemate Piggyback is fav but I doubt starts it as wetter is better for her so I am with Roger.
David Taggart
CAULFIELD
Race 2 | 1. Manolo Bling
Comes out of much better races than the rest and she is clearly the one they have to beat. She has pace I would expect her to lead them up from an inside draw. Rail out 12 so expect an on pace bias.
Race 6 | 1. Romantic Choice
If she brings her best game she can go close here at odds. Was outclassed in the Topaz but never disgraced herself. Draws an inside gate for the apprentice who takes 3 kilos off. She will lead them up and hopefully lead all the way.
ROSEHILL
Race 3 | 3. Don't Forget Jack
Was too good for them here last start when ridden a treat. Stays in the same grade draws better and there is no reason he can’t win again.
Race 4 | 5. Weeping Woman
Was caught in the shadows by the inform Sacred Rocks last start and can she go one better here? The 1400m is a bit of a worry going in last start but she should be going close.
