Cam Luke & David Taggart have your Saturday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Flemington & Rosehill in a bid to find the family some winners.

FLEMINGTON
Race 4 | 7. Winning Toast
Was huge last start when no luck wise here. Drawn a little better and plenty of speed drawn inside I think Yendall takes a little sit and no doubt gets a better run in transit. Still has to prove himself at this level but think he did enough last start to suggest he will run well with easier run in transit and is a nice each way play!
Race 7 | 2. Shockletz
Rinse and repeat for this girl but again I am keen and even more so at 2500m. Hit a flat spot last spot and still almost got there. She was looking for further and gets it here! Will go back from that gate and have plenty of time to wind up late! Drying track another plus and she profiles like a stayer and can prove it here! Politely Dun enjoys Flemington and was good winning here 2 back before running well in the QLD Derby when having no real chance from wide gate! These are my only two and I think like in most things, the girl beats the boy.
Race 9 | 6. Terrestar (each-way)
I really like this girl to run a huge race third up where she always runs really well. Will speed map like last race where it took Splash Back to beat her. A drying track is another positive! The speed map is interesting as is there isn’t a MASSIVE amount of speed other than Sassy Boom but since she is drawn wide she will hustle forward and will get enough early for Moloney to squeeze forward and then take a seat like she did last start and if there is more speed than last time I could see even more improvement from her! I think she is well over the odds and at a minimum is a great each way play.
ROSEHILL
Race 4 | 1. Codetta
Has had zero lack both runs this prep and to be honest the gate is just a continuation of that. In saying that she loves the slop, the 3 kg claim helps and there’s a little bit of speed inside so hopefully it’s a lot quicker than last start. Always runs well and hopefully that equates to win number four today.
Race 7 | 15. Good Banter
Loves the slop, 2000m and runs well 4th up! She won the Adrian Knox last year and that’s easily good enough for this. Drawn perfectly to have run of the race right behind speed (assailant) and can even sit closer if needed. Few Q’s re distance and heavy on a couple of the other fancies and I think it works well for this Mare!
Race 10 | 5. Kerguelen
Gets to the 1400m third up and back on the HEAVY is a big plus! Can squeeze forward and box seat and run of the race is his for the taking. This is easier than last start where he had a chance but track might have been a tad dry. Gets perfect conditions and I am 1 out in the quad!
David Taggart
FLEMINGTON
Race 3 | 2. Marble Nine
Has hit top form and you would expect him to be winning again. Ticks many boxes as he draws the right part of the track and conditions suit.
ROSEHILL
Race 4 | 3. Stagnum (value)
Sat three deep and last first up off the back of just the one trial in what was a slow run race and still hit the line ok. Strips fitter, the extra trip suits and it’s just a case of him handling the heavy track to be in the finish at a good each-way price.
Race 6 | 1. Hi Dubai
Hits this third up where she has good form and all her wins have come over this trip of 1100m as she steps up from the 1000m. Heavy track suits and back to mares grade is a positive.
Race 10 | 5. Kerguelen
Was a beaten fav last start but he never disgraced himself as he went up in grade. Drops back to the grade he won in first up, steps to the 1400m for the first time which suits along with barrier and conditions.
