Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Josh Inglis has been ruled out of any potential appearance in the Sydney Test after suffering a calf strain.
Inglis suffered the injury while fielding on the MCG on Day 3 of the Boxing Day Test.
He has been replaced in the squad by Beau Webster, who would now be the batting replacement if the selectors choose to move away from Mitch Marsh.
The injury is also a blow for the Perth Scorchers, assuming it lingers into January.
Cricket Australia however has said the injury is low-grade.
