Giddy Up with Gareth Hall has once again been confirmed as Australia’s number one racing podcast, leading all racing shows in the latest Australian Podcast Ranker results for March 2026.
Sports Entertainment Network’s (SEN) flagship racing podcast finished as the highest‑ranked Australian racing title nationally, with 56,677 listeners in March, reinforcing its position as the go‑to destination for racing fans seeking authoritative insight, analysis and daily wagering conversation across the year - not just during peak carnival periods.
However, with a huge 235,912 downloads, Giddy Up jumps to the #67 ranked podcast in overall downloads, highlighting the sustained strength of racing content within SEN’s podcast ecosystem, with audiences continuing to engage deeply with thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing coverage throughout the autumn months.
A direct comparison between March 2025 and March 2026 shows that Giddy Up has more than doubled its podcast downloads (up 101%), alongside an 81% increase in unique listeners.
Hosted by Gareth Hall, Giddy Up has built a loyal national audience through its blend of form analysis, expert opinion, interviews and real‑time racing discussion, complementing SEN’s broader racing coverage across radio and digital platforms.
The result forms part of a dominant month for SEN-produced podcasts, which featured 17 titles in the Australian Top 300, recording 866,000 unique listens and 4.2M downloads - more than any other sports media network.
SEN Chief Executive, Craig Hutchison, said Giddy Up’s continued success reflected both Hall’s credibility and SEN’s commitment to premium racing content.
“Giddy Up continues to set the standard for racing podcasts in this country,” Hutchison said.
“Gareth Hall has built a trusted, informed and highly engaged audience, and for the show to still be number one in racing outside of the spring carnival speaks volumes about its relevance and consistency. Our racing content and coverage remains a critical pillar of SEN, and this result is a credit to the entire team.”
Giddy Up with Gareth Hall can be heard on SENTrack across Australia, on RSN across Victoria and live on racing.com (Channel 78) from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 12pm. Plus, with the launch of SENTurf across Western Australia, Giddy Up can now also be heard across almost 70 stations.
