"You’re a legend, but you’re old”: Lyon reveals another cheeky sledge by young Jaiswal

22-year-old Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal made his presence known in the first Test for his extraordinary 161 runs in the second innings to go along with his verbal volleys.
Jaiswal's sledging seized the headlines after he told Australian left-arm quick Mitchell Starc, “It’s coming too slow,” which was received with laughter from the opener.
But it has been revealed that Jaiswal also sledged Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon about his age.
“You're a legend, but you’re old,” Lyon revealed Jaiswal’s sledge on SEN 1170 The Run Home with Joel and Fletch.
Lyon saw the funny side of Jaiswal’s antics, saying it was all in good fun.
“Appreciate that, mate, but I don’t feel that old,” Lyon said in response.
Jaiswal’s presence is something the Australians must overcome if they hope to win the Adelaide Test to level the series.
Australia continued their preparations for the second test with a session on Wednesday where the much-talked-about batting lineup tried to get back into form, particularly Marnus Labuschagne.
“Marn looked very good yesterday, to be honest, all the batters did, wasn’t much fun bowling to them,” Lyon said.
The second test between Australia and India begins Friday at the Adelaide Oval; listen to it live on the SEN app.
