Parker: “Drums will beat louder” for Ciraldo if Dogs lose

Corey Parker believes that Bulldogs coach Cameron Ciraldo will be under significant pressure should his side lose to the Melbourne Storm on Friday.
After sitting at the top of the ladder as late as Round 16, the Dogs have dissipated in form and have finished the season in third.
With that in mind, Parker thinks that with the bold moves that Ciraldo has made mid-season with the reshuffling of their spine following the signing of Lachlan Galvin could the pressure increases on him should they lose to the Storm and have to face the Panthers next week.
“There has been some big bold moves from him, and look, I’m not going to go against him, but if you’re forecast to tomorrow, for example, and the Bulldogs have lost, the drums will beat louder," he told SENQ Breakfast.
“If they lose, they’ll take on the winner out of the Panthers and the Warriors.
“Now the Warriors over there (in New Zealand), they’ve absolutely have got a chance to win, but everyone is sort of leaning more towards the Panthers.
“So, the Dogs are a chance of going bang, bang, straight out.
“Now, if you look over their last five or last six weeks and who they have played and their results, they don’t stack up great.
“For a team that has been entrenched in the top four for a long period of time, I think Cam Ciraldo, and he is a wonderful coach, and they can absolutely win tonight.
“But we’ll see what unfolds.”
The Finals will begin on September 12 with the Melbourne Storm taking on the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at AAMI Park.
SEN will have live coverage of this match available through its radio network and on the SEN app.
Coverage will begin at 6pm AEST.
