Welcome to Sport Nation: The Kiwi Voice of Sport
Logan Swinkels • November 19th, 2024 2:12 pm

November 19 was a day months in the making for us here at Sport Nation.
We know that change can be a bit confronting at times but this change is all about getting better and bringing the best - and worst - of sport to life for our audience in New Zealand and those who are abroad.
We'll continue to be the dedicated home of sport and racing on-air and online in New Zealand, your place to be when you want to celebrate the victories or vent about the losses.
As you've seen we've changed our name, our colour scheme and will keep making a few more changes over the course of the next few months.
But a lot of what you've known previously is still available on Sport Nation.
On-air you'll still hear the familiar voices of Scotty and Izzy, Smithy and Riccardo, Staffy, Beaver and Guy, as well as the likes of Daniel McHardy, Mark Watson and the host of sport stars and commentators who form our Sport Nation team.
And our frequencies all stay the same, you can find the frequency for your region or location at the bottom of this page.
Online you can find us at sportnation.nz and our app is available in the Apple and Google Play stores. Currently, the app is only available in New Zealand, but we are looking to potentially distribute it elsewhere aside from Australia. If you want to stay up to date around the world, save the website to your phone by selecting 'add to home screen' when you bookmark it - this will create a shortcut on your phone that works the same as the app.
Our website is built to be device responsive so you can use it on your desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile without having to do anything more than entering sportnation.nz.
The site has everything you need through the day to get your fill of sport. We have news and commentary, you can listen to our shows live and you'll find all the podcasts in the Sport Nation library.
You can listen live to our shows online and in the car using Apple Car Play and very soon we'll be available using Android Auto.
All of our studios have video cameras so we'll be creating plenty of video from our shows as well as out in the field and you can find them all here.
We're proud to be able to bring you live commentary from a wide range of sports around New Zealand and abroad including all NZ Warriors home and away games throughout the 2025 NRL season, Blackcaps and White Ferns cricket, the English Premier League and more.
Our app is available for both Apple and Android users and it can be downloaded from either of the respective stores.
