The lads have taken a close look at Warwick Farm & Caulfield in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Cam Luke
WARWICK FARM
Race 4 | 4. Miss Hades
Was pretty good resuming after a couple of really nice trials and from that gate will get every chance. Steps up to the mile which hasn’t always been a huge success but from the way she hit the line at Newcastle it should work today. Maid of Moolah ran ok Saturday, so the form stacks up! Kingston Charm also in EQ but the good track, no major speed and second-up form means MH has more upside than others in the race!
Race 5 | 7. Sting In The Tail
Was pretty good first try at 2400m and this is an easy race. Does get back a little bit so needs some speed which is a slight query and it’s a waste of a good guy, but Tommy Berry is a superstar. good track no concern, very well weighted and honestly, I think fitness means he beats the favourite Bestower who is up to mile and a half for the 1st time.
Race 6 | 3. Livin' Thing
First up and is perfect first-up in a short career. Has trialled well! Drawn perfectly to stalk the speed and box seat. Ready for another crack at 1200m, blinkers off works and I think Sam Clapperton will be back baby.
CAULFIELD HEATH
Race 2 | 4. Job Done
Was great on debut belting them as market suggested he would and then was pretty good in a strong race behind Jimmy Recard. Has trialled ok and expect from that gate to park behind and Satin Diva and Calvary Girl. He looks like he has come back better, and a good track will aid that!
Race 4 | 9. Divine Thoughts
Not a huge amount of speed on paper and think there is a chance this girl gets away with racing murder! She was ok holding on for second last start first-up behind a decent horse. Second-up form is always good albeit without winning but keeps knocking on door! 1500m is perfect as is good track. The couple on the market get back a smidge which will give this mare a huge chance to skip clear and win!
David Taggart
WARWICK FARM
Race 2 | 1. Man Of Worth
Is an import who is in his second Australian prep. Has had time to acclimatise since he got beat in a YV maiden by a mare who went on and won a Saturday mares race in town. Has trialled up well and gets a 3kg claim for Sienna.
Race 4 | 4. Miss Hades
Is clearly the one to beat off her first-up run. Draws to get every chance again from pole as she drops in grade from that fresh run. The main concern here is her getting the trip as she’s 0/3 over the mile but those runs have been at the end of her prep.
CAULFIELD HEATH
Race 4 | 9. Divine Thoughts
Divine Thoughts knocked up late first-up in a handy race and she strips fitter for that. Up in trip and down in grade suits. Will go forward with inform apprentice on and be hard to beat.
