SENΒ β’ Β April 28th, 2025 11:45 am

The Fireball team have pulled together their top five rankings in the wake of Round 7.
David King, Kane Cornes and Josh Gabelich have rated in order from 1 to 5 the teams who are in best shape for a premiership tilt.
βItβs sort of like a previous model we used to call The Seedings except thereβs five instead of four,β King said on SENβs Fireball.
See their five below:
Kane Cornes
1 - Brisbane
βThe Lions at 1, the reigning premiers.β
2 - Hawthorn
βMy Hawks at two. Iβm holding firm on the Hawks, I think theyβre a very good side.β
3 - Gold Coast
βGold Coast are a weapon. They can win it this year.β
4 - Geelong
βNo panic stations, theyβre going to play a lot of games at home and will turn things around.β
5 - Collingwood
βIβm just nervous about the injuries that may pile up. Iβm just holding on that.
βBut theyβre in good form, theyβre in the five.β
David King
1 - Brisbane
βThe Lions are in autopilot. Theyβre so experienced, theyβre so well-drilled, they are numero uno.β
2 - Collingwood
βThe experience of Collingwood. They donβt even need to talk to the coach, donβt need any communications, donβt need any rotations, we can handle this ourselves.β
3 - Fremantle
βI loved the way they played on the weekend.β
4 - Geelong
βA hiccup on the weekend, all is not lost.β
5 - Hawthorn
βAt five, Hawthorn who are building.β
Josh Gabelich
1 - Brisbane
2 - Collingwood
3 - Geelong
4 - Hawthorn
5 - Gold Coast
