The Melbourne Mavericks will travel to Perth next weekend to face the West Coast Fever in the club's first-ever finals match.
After securing a maiden finals berth this season, the Mavericks will take on the minor premiers at RAC Arena as they continue their breakthrough campaign.
Melbourne Mavericks Captain Amy Parmenter said the group was excited to embrace the challenge of finals netball.
"We're obviously disappointed not to be playing in front of our home fans in Melbourne, but we're incredibly excited to be taking part in the first finals match in club history," Parmenter said.
"We've shown throughout the season that we can compete with the best teams in the competition and we'll take a lot of confidence into the challenge ahead.
"Finals netball is what every player wants to be part of and we're looking forward to embracing the opportunity."
Assistant Coach Nicole Richardson said the group was eager to test itself on the biggest stage.
"It's incredibly exciting for the Melbourne Mavericks to be playing the first finals match in our club's history against the West Coast Fever in Perth," Richardson said.
"It will be a sea of green in front of a parochial and loud Fever crowd. The atmosphere at RAC Arena will be electric, but we know what it takes to win over here.
"While we're playing away from home, we know our passionate Mavericks fans will be behind us every step of the way."
The Mavericks will now prepare for the club's first finals appearance as they look to continue a history-making season against one of the competition's strongest sides.
