Netball NZ reportedly opts for Mowbray-Williams lifeline

Netball New Zealand has reportedly accepted a lifeline proposal from businesswoman Anna Mowbray and former All Black Ali Williams as it searches for a future for the country’s elite domestic competition.
The pair have put forward plans for a privately backed league, offering Netball NZ a potential escape from the financial uncertainty surrounding the ANZ Premiership.
Sources reportedly told RNZ the national body reached the decision last week and is now working with the pair to finalise finer details.

"We're at a point where this is the decision that's been made, now we're working at getting the pieces of the puzzle in place," the unnamed source said.
Sport Nation understands that Netball NZ will be making an official response Tuesday morning, with new CEO Jennah Wootten to appear on Sport Nation’s Millsy & Guy later that day.
