New Zealand's home summer of international cricket is finally upon us - and with the Saturday session at Hagley Oval sold out for Day 3 of the first Test between England and the Blackcaps, many Kiwi cricket fans are eager to show their support for a side that recently won their first-ever Test series on Indian soil.
Sport Nation will be calling every ball of the Blackcaps and White Ferns in their home internationals, broadcasting across all of our NZ radio frequencies including Christchurch 1260AM and the brand-new Sport Nation app - available on Apple and Android.
Those devices will come in handy if you're heading along to the picturesque grounds in Christchurch. Sport Nation is pleased to announce that we will also be broadcasting a feed with zero delay, thanks to our partnership with NZ Cricket and LiveFeed.
What does that mean? Well, if you're hanging out on the embankment at Hagley, pop your earbuds in or grab a pair of headphones from the Sport Nation promo team on-site, select the special LiveFeed broadcast of the first Test on the Sport Nation app, follow the prompts and you will be able to listen to every ball in sync with what's happening on the field.
"Giving fans at the ground access to real-time commentary is such a thrill for Sport Nation. Following along with familiar voices and getting expert insight into what's really going on can add so much to the experience of live cricket," said Sport Nation content manager Reuben Bradley.
Those sentiments are echoed by Sport Nation's lead cricket caller, Daniel McHardy, who is building a reputation for commentating some of the biggest live moments heard during the station's history, previously known as SENZ.
"In-ground audio with zero delay is a brilliant for both fans and broadcasters. For fans it combines immediacy and high quality audio, what’s not to love about that marriage? Fans at the ground can also engage with our commentary team in real-time, something we cherish," he said.

Providing the soundtrack for the three-match Test series between the Blackcaps and England will be play-by-play commentators Daniel McHardy, Garth Gallaway, Jon Norman and Neil Manthorp. Joining them to give their expert analysis and share a few tour stories along the way will be Ian Smith, Jeremy Coney, Chris Harris and Steve Harmison.
"This team of commentators is unrivalled in terms of experience and insight, both as broadcasters and former players, from the likes of Ian Smith and Jeremy Coney, through to Daniel McHardy and Garth Gallaway, and many more," Bradley said.
"We are also delighted to call on the knowledge of the talkSPORT commentary team - giving us the view from the other side of the fence.
"We are covering every international match - Blackcaps and White Ferns - this summer. Sport Nation truly is your destination for live cricket, the soundtrack of every New Zealand summer."
The zero delay feed will also be available for attendees of the second Test at Wellington's Basin Reserve, plus the third Test at Hamilton's Seddon Park.
Join us from 10am NZDT this Thursday for extended preview coverage, with first ball scheduled for 11am.
