SEN Track: Tim O'Connor's Friday night Harness Racing Tips
SEN Track • January 3rd, 2025 7:17 pm
Tim O'Connor has done the form for tonight's meeting at Melton Entertainment Park.
R1 – 6.25pm – 2Construct Trot – 1720m
9 – April Sun
10 – Jakarta
5 – Coconut Mickey
6 – Ox Knox
April Sun did a good job to be beaten less than 18m last start after galloping and chased home the talented Remus Phoenix and Thunda Struck in a slick last half before that. That was on the back of a fourth in the Breeders Crown final as a three-year-old. This looks a winnable assignment for a few and happy to have something on April Sun each-way.
BACK: 9 April Sun – 0.5 unit (each-way)
R2 – 6.57pm – Lionheart Security Pace – 1720m
11 – Celestial Zodiac
10 – Shady Dancer
7 – Illawong Phoenix
5 – Self Exclusion
Very keen on Celestial Zodiac in what looks a race full of horses struggling to find their best. He was a big winner at Shepparton in late November and turned in another good performance from back in the field at Charlton recently. Should go very close with even luck.
BACK: Celestial Zodiac – 3 units (win)
R3 – 7.26pm – Swift Signs Pace – 1720m
9 – Mona Mia
1 – Torque Power
5 – Machine Said
2 – Morvah
R4 – 7.55pm – Renown Silverware Pace – 1720m
8 – Shotinthedark
9 – My Bucks Night
7 – G B Brave
1 – Capitalism
Shotinthedark has to overcome a sticky barrier, but brings some good form to this race and fancy he might be a bit more progressive than some key rivals.
BACK: 8 Shotinthedark – 1 unit (win)
R5 – 8.32pm – Prydes Easifeed Pace – 1720m
4 – Sportsbou
8 – Bona Khan
7 – Lenard Ess
3 – Aveiro
R6 – 9.03pm – Beraldo Coffee Pace – 1720m
2 – Our True Colours
7 – Black Tuxedo
8 – Blazin Heaven
1 – Braebeach
R7 – 9.37pm – APG Trot – 1720m
5 – Used To Be A Maid
6 – Mojito Madness
3 – Imperial Whiz
4 – Royal Charlotte
R8 – 10.14pm – Dynamic Print Group Pace – 1720m
6 – Operative Line
3 – Hes A Mesiter
7 – Letsrockletsroll
5 – Captain Pins
Operative Line has been racing in top company and was beaten just 4.9m to Bulletproof Boy in a hot free-for-all at Melton last time. He’s clearly the class runner here and think he can win a variety of ways.
BACK: 6 Operative Line – 2 units (win)
R9 – 10.45pm – Centre State Printing Maiden Pace – 1720m
2 – Love A Belle
7 – Maxy Bomber
1 – Villarock
5 – Goodtime Mixnitup
This looks a fairly weak maiden event and Love A Belle brings some solid form to the table. She looked to have plenty to give before galloping at the corner last time out at Cranbourne and was runner-up at her two previous starts. Happily on top.
BACK: 2 Love A Belle – 3 units (win)
