Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) is going all-in for the 2025 State of Origin series, delivering fans an unmatched listening experience with three unique live calls of Game 1, all airing from 7pm on Wednesday, May 28 across the SEN network.
Origin I will be broadcast live from Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, where the NSW Blues will look to kick off their title defence in enemy territory.
Listeners can choose their call: Blues Radio with Joel Caine, Brett Kimmorley and Luke Priddis, bringing a passionate New South Wales perspective; Maroons Radio featuring Mark Braybrook, Scott Sattler and Andrew McCullough, delivering Queensland pride and insight; or Origin LIVE, a neutral national call with Jimmy Smith, Tim Mannah and Justin Horo, offering expert analysis and big-game energy.
To build the hype even further, SEN has launched two new shows in partnership with McDonald’s, giving fans even more Origin content in the lead-up to each game. Macca’s True Blue airs on Sydney’s SEN 1170am at 6pm on May 28, June 4, and June 11, hosted by Jimmy Smith and diving deep into all things Blues. Macca’s Mighty Maroons broadcasts on SENQ 693am at 6pm on May 28, June 4, and June 11, hosted by Scott Sattler and covering everything Queensland.
SEN’s popular Saturday League Kick Off show with Scott Sattler and Andrew Webster continues to air live every Saturday from 10am to midday across SEN radio (1170, 693, 1620). While the show has always run for two hours, it will now be fully simulcast on Fox League, expanding from one hour to both hours on television and giving fans even more access to expert analysis and footy conversation.
SEN CEO, Craig Hutchison, said his network was committed to having coverage of Origin that would appease all types of NRL and sporting fans.
"State of Origin is one of the biggest sporting events on the calendar, and we’re proud to give fans more ways to connect with the game than ever before. Whether you bleed blue or maroon - or just love great footy - we’ve got a call and a show for you. Our new Macca’s shows are a fantastic addition, and we’re thrilled to bring even more Origin energy to our listeners."
SEN will also be broadcasting Games 2 and 3 of Origin from Perth and Sydney respectively:
- Game 2 – Wednesday 18 June, live from Optus Stadium, Perth
- Game 3 – Wednesday 9 July , live from Accor Stadium, Sydney
