Cam Luke & David Taggart have your Saturday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Flemington, Randwick & Ipswich in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇

FLEMINGTON
Race 2 | 3. Shockletz
Was great last start back up to 2000m and even with the heavier weight I expect more of the same. Will have a similar run and may even sit a little closer to the speed. I think she is the class horse of the field and can go back to back Flemington wins!
Race 4 | 2. Dark Simba
Really good races with three really nice horses but I think controlling the race might give DS the advantage here. Running on might be tough today so on pace will suit him and Taken. Continues to improve as he goes through the grades and today is toughest test but if he holds the rail over Taken he will be very hard to get past. They’ll fight it out as I think Winning Toast will get a little too far back from the gate!
Race 8 | 8. St Lawrence
Flies fresh and with the new stable has jumped out well in prep! Firmer track wont hurt and won’t go around a horse from gate! Will need a smidge of luck but if he can return to its spring form (Little Dance win) he will go very close here! I expect he might have a crack at something like the Mildura Cup in the prep!
RANDWICK
Race 6 | 1. Salt Lake City (each-way)
Excuses in Aussie debut and had no luck second up when wide off gate and harder race. Will appreciate getting to the 1800m and drawn really nice to sit close to the speed!! Bound to improve even more and the claim (2) of a jockey in great form in a lower grade means he is over the odds. Great each way play!!
Race 7 | 2. Gitalong
Only just edged out last start by Storm The Ramparts and here the weight swing today to turn the tables. Plenty of speed but needs a smidge of luck here early so can get closer to the fence. I expect Nash to follow Hi Dubai over and sit outside the mare. No rain about would be a plus and staying at the sprinting trip of 1000m this prep has worked albeit without winning…. Yet!
Race 8 | 12. Code In Time (each-way)
By far its toughest test but does go well fresh and this is a very open winnable race. Will pozzie forward and will get run of the race either pushing forward to find the rail or sit right on back of speed with other speed drawn wide (Uzziah & Aberlour) if they want it. Drying track helps even more and is over the odds at $15.
IPSWICH (#CamLovesACup)
Race 6 | 1. Miss Joelene
Bit tough for her in Hollindale and Doomben Cup and never had a chance last start from that gate which was probably worked as a tick over run. No rain would be perfect and with plenty of speed engaged can find a rhythm midfield and go bang late! She is the best horse in it and if she handles the weight she will win!
David Taggart
FLEMINGTON
Race 3 | 1. Recommendation
Hits this second up where he is undefeated from four. Looked in need of the run fresh and was on inferior ground to the winner. A lot of pace is inside of him and he should just sit off them and have last crack.
Race 4 | 1. Taken
Has built a great resume this preparation which includes bolting in here last start when leading all the way. He does look the class galloper of the field again but does have to carry a lot of weight going up 4.5 kilos which is the slight concern carrying 60kg.
Race 5 | 9. Freak Of Nature (each-way)
Resumes and is ready to go off a recent trial win and he flies fresh. This is also his pet distance and will get the run of the race from an inside draw either box seating or controlling the race up front. Well worth an ew ticket.
RANDWICK
Race 6 | 1. Salt Lake City (each-way)
Hits this third up where he’s had a win and he was much improved from his first up run to his second where he had excuses. Will also find this much easier than his first two Australian starts. Draws soft gets a claim for inform hoop Braith Nock and he’s an ew play.
Race 10 | 1. Contemporary (each-way)
Not sure how Contemporary is the odds he is. His third up record is good, gets a claim with an inside gate, $21 is ridiculous considering he’s dropping in grade. Great EW play.
