Cam Luke & David Taggart have your Saturday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Flemington & Randwick in a bid to find the family some winners.

FLEMINGTON
Race 3 | 2. Miewa
Was really good last start at Moonee Valley circling the field and back to Flemington over further. I like even more. He’s a horse who think can win the Derby so the further the better, he’ll go back so I hoping for a quick tempo (Azazel/Super Paradise) of which I am confident will happen and he’ll be very hard to beat swooping late.
Race 4 | 3. Spicy Lu
Third up to the mile worked last preparation and I think she is crying out for the bigger track of Flemington. Didn’t really handle Caulfield last start but when she flattened out late it made me think she needs the 1600m. Last prep she bumped into Nepotism. She was really good although a smidge out of her depth. As long as she gets a backside she will be huge late.
Race 6 | 6. Rosberg
Has had a jump out since doing what needed on debut at Moonee Valley. The spruik on this horse is huge and this is a nice race and tougher than last start but he will improve and it was listed race. Will the inside gate be a disadvantage? Not sure but what I do know is he impressed me on debut and he can go on it wiht it here and announce himself towards a Coolmore!
Race 7 | 4. Mark Twain (each-way)
Weird prep mainly because he spat the jockey and got scratched before first up! Was ok in the Makybe Diva and last start had no chance off slow tempo. Back to Flemington works, good track is a plus and getting to a distance that’s more his style. $27 is overs in an open race and I’ll be using the more places feature on Sportsbet to full effect! Revelare and Gilded Water will fight the race out and I think both can run half decent Melbourne Cups!
RANDWICK
Race 4 | 1. Without Peer
Was pretty good in the Ming Dynasty with no real luck from a wide gate with a month between runs. Everything he did that day makes me think the 1600m is what he is screaming out for. First time on a good track shouldn’t be an issue and from that gate he should be able to stalk the speed and be too good.
Race 5 | 8. Pocketing (each-way)
Was decent through the line last start and gets to the 1600m third up. He is ready to peak and equipped himself well last start stepping up in grade. Good track is a plus as is the gate where he can slot in two pairs back. Great each way play at $10.

FLEMINGTON
Race 3 | 1. Arcora (value)
Made no impact back from a little freshen up when running over an unsuitable trip. Back up to 1800m here he has won and will race more prominent especially from a good gate. Looks a good each-way play.
Race 5 | 4. On Display
Had no luck last start in the G2 Let’s Elope and basically went to the line hard held. Draws out here so wouldn’t expect that to happen again and she should make amends.
Race 8 | 4. Via Sistina (BEST)
Is the best horse in the country who won this race last year and she should make up for last start where nothing went her way. She did get beat in that race last year too then went on undefeated. Draws pole for J Mac to give her every chance.
ROSEHILL
Race 4 | 11. Next Jen (value)
Most of these have Sixties form which I’m not convinced of so I’m with Next Jen each-way with the Apocalyptic form. She was very good first up getting home hard and finishing on their heels. She’s now wanting this trip and she draws soft to get it easy throughout.
