SEN 1116am maintains solid audience as AFL Finals heat up

SEN 1116am has held firm in the latest GfK Radio 360 Survey 5 results, continuing to deliver a consistent audience base as Melbourne turns its attention to the AFL Finals.
SEN 1116am recorded an increase to a 4.3% share (All People 10+), an 8.3% share in the core demographic of Males 25–54 across the week, and a cumulative audience increasing to 410,000. These results underline the station’s steady performance across key listening times.
Highlights include:
Breakfast programming with Garry & Tim (Garry Lyon & Tim Watson) and Fireball with Kane & Kingy (Kane Cornes and David King) continues to provide a strong foundation for SEN’s weekdays, setting up the day with a loyal and engaged audience, delivering a 4.4% share (All People 10+) and an 11% (Males 25-54);
Whateley (Gerard Whateley) remains a go-to destination for in-depth AFL analysis increasing to a 4.7% share (All People 10+) and a 9.2% share (Males 25-54);
The audience continued to engage with Dwayne Russell on Dwayne’s World (“you call, you get on”) up to a 4.6% share (All People 10+) and a 7.3% share (Males 25-54);
The Run Home with Andy & Gazey (Andy Maher and Andrew Gaze) – up to a 3.7% share (All People 10+) and up to a 10.2% share (from 7.3%) Males 25-54.
On weekends, SEN’s AFL Nation coverage, alongside Off The Bench and Crunch Time, ensured fans stayed connected to the game right across the weekend.
Beyond radio, SEN’s digital platforms continue to grow strongly. In August, SEN recorded 1.13 million users across web and app, 2.02 million streams for a total of 96 million minutes listened, 5.8 million app screen views (+27% YoY), and 4.05 million podcast downloads (up 20% YoY) from 841,000 unique listeners. These figures highlight the increasing reach of SEN content beyond traditional broadcasting, with fans choosing to engage across multiple touchpoints.
