Maxwell catch, Stoinis dominance lifts Melbourne Stars to first win of BBL campaign
The Melbourne Stars have finally ended their winless start to the BBL season, defeating Brisbane at the Gabba overnight.
Stars captain Marcus Stoinis led the way with 62 off 48 and 0/28 off four overs.
Max Bryant did all he could for the Heat, bashing 77 off 48 balls, but had minimal support around him.
The story of the night however surrounded Glenn Maxwell and what might have been the best catch in BBL history.

Earlier in the day, the Hurricanes picked up a comfortable win over the Sixers.
Nikhil Chaudhary’s 42 off 31 balls and 1/15 earning him player of the match honours.
Jackson Bird took four wickets for the Sixers, but no batsman managed 25 runs in the chase.
