Boomer Harvey to wear the Big V again
North Melbourne legend Brent ‘Boomer’ Harvey is in!
The V/AFL games record holder of 432 games will play in the 2025 Legends Game for Prostate Cancer, thanks to Four’n Twenty.
“I’m looking forward to it. Obviously pulling on the Big V jumper when I was 21 years old was a pretty vivid memory in my career,” Harvey said on SEN Breakfast.
“To do it again with some other legends - there are some big names there - to join that calibre is pretty exciting.”
Despite being at the ripe old age of 47, Boomer promises to be one of the fittest players for Victoria against the All-Stars at Marvel Stadium on August 28.
The Roos great is still having the odd kick for country club Trentham where he has kicked 12 goals in three outings so far in 2025.
During his storied career Harvey played for Victoria twice - in 1999 and 2008 - and will suit up in the iconic Big V once again in a game that is attracting more star power by the week.
“How hard can it be?”: Cuz is back!
Ben Cousins is the latest big name to join the All Stars for the 2025 Legends Game.

“I only decided (to play) over the weekend. But, for me, the chance to play alongside Cyril, you know? I’m excited about that,” Cousins said on his WA radio show.
“Everyone’s situation is different but because he was 28 when he stopped playing, we all felt he had so much good footy left in him. To see him run around and have a kick is exciting and I’m looking forward to handpassing to him or getting one off him!
“It’s supposed to be like riding a bike, isn’t it? It’s a young man’s game but I can get myself up for one, surely. How hard can it be?”
The 2005 Brownlow Medallist retired in 2010.
Stevie J, Bunji among six North Smith winners
Stevie Johnson headlines six Norm Smith medallists to have added their names to the incredible line-up for the 2025 Legends Game later this month.

The former Western Bulldogs and Essendon midfielder has stayed connected to footy since his retirement and is currently coaching at Geelong College.

"In that week there's nothing on so this year the Legend's game is back. It's for prostate cancer and I've been part of it for about 15 years.
"Cyril is back in the limelight, Tim Watson is the coach. The next player for Victoria to be named is me!
"I wasn't originally going to play, you get older and I didn't want to fail but my kids made me."
