Jenkins’ two teams that will come in and two teams that will drop out of the top eight

Josh Jenkins has named the two teams that he expects to drop out of the top eight from last season and the two teams that he expects to replace them in 2025.
While on average there are three changes to the top eight from the year before, Jenkins is only sold on two changes currently.
As for those teams that will leap in, Jenkins thinks that Adelaide and Gold Coast are set to make the jump after finishing 15th and 13th respectively last season.
“We know on average three jump in and three go out, but I’ll give you two even though it could be up to six or seven,” Jenkins told SEN The Run Home.
“I’ll say Adelaide, they simply have to make it because the alternative is not good.
“I'll give you Gold Coast. I’m a believer in Gold Coast … if you objectively look at their list, don't think about the history, what you think they should have done, what they haven't done and how much they've underdelivered, it’s irrelevant.
“Go and look at their best players and have a look at how old they are. They are ready to rock and roll.
“Adelaide simply has to make it.”
As for the teams that could fall out, Jenkins is predicting that Port Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs will miss September after finishing the 2024 home and away season second and sixth respectively.
“I'll take Port Adelaide out,” Jenkins said.
“There are just too many questions at both ends of the ground for me.
“Their forward line looks a bit of a mess. It's all over the shop. Todd Marshall's gone for most of if not all of the season, Charlie Dixon we know isn’t there and Jack Lukosius is probably going to have to completely explode for them to remain where they were.
“I’ll also take the Dogs out, they got blown away in that first final (last year), so that’s probably an easy one.”
