We are 12 weeks into the biggest off-field footy war– the TV ratings – and the results at the midway point make for interesting reading.
In just its first season, the Agenda Setters – featuring Caroline Wilson, Craig Hutchison, Kane Cornes, Luke Hodge, Dale Thomas and Nick Riewoldt - is close to pulling ahead of Footy Classified.
With an average audience this year of 185,000 across the Seven Network, Cornes and co are just 3,100 behind their Channel Nine rivals.
Breaking down the numbers, Classified – hosted by Sam McLure - brings in a bigger audience on a Monday when their line-up includes and featuring Matthew Lloyd, Jimmy Bartel, and Damian Barrett
The larger audience is likely boosted by the flagship show’s earlier start time of 9pm.

Meanwhile the Agenda Setters is winning the battle on a Tuesday averaging 176,000, 19,000 ahead of a 10pm edition of Classified which features Tom Morris, Eddie McGuire, James Hird, and Rory Sloane on its second outing of the week.
It’s a great result for the Seven Network who sensationally poached Hutchison, Cornes and Wilson from Channel 9 in the off-season.
