The way Michael Voss has carried himself well while under intense pressure and scrutiny is something to be proud of.
The Carlton coach has been battered pillar to post in recent times amidst a disastrous season at the helm of the Blues, but he has held himself with poise and composure.
According to David King, the embattled Blues coach has shouldered all the responsibility, all the criticism and copped the abuse and threats with grace.
King believes it is something to be proud of.
βThe way Michael Voss has handled himself under unbelievable pressure the last fortnight,β King said on SEN Breakfast.
βYou havenβt heard him whinge, you havenβt heard him shuffle the responsibility to another department. Heβs taken it all on board. He has spoken with clarity.
βAt a time where itβs a been bit messy elsewhere, heβs been bulletproof. I think youβve got to be proud of that.β
Kane Cornes also spoke highly of how Voss has handled himself.
βWord perfect has Michael Voss been under the most trying circumstances for a coach,β said Cornes.
Despite Vossβ defiance, the Blues fell to a third straight loss when going down to the Brisbane Lions by 37 points at Marvel Stadium on Thursday night.
They currently 12th on the ladder with a 6-11 record some 16 points out of the top eight and just a win and percentage above the bottom four.
Next up for Voss and the Blues is a clash with Melbourne at the MCG next Saturday night.
The future of Voss as Carlton coach is unclear despite the fact the 50-year-old is contracted for 2026.
