Nathan Buckley and Gerard Whateley have named their top four seeds following Round 5 of the 2025 AFL season.
Buckley and Whateley will each rank the four teams they have the most confidence in going forward on a weekly basis throughout the year.
The seedings will be updated as the season goes on via SEN’s Whateley.
See the seedings below:
BUCKLEY
1 - Brisbane
“The reigning premiers have earned their No.1 seed back.
“They’re playing consistently enough, but their bursts are pretty impressive.
“It’s how they got over the line at the end of last year to become premiers and they’re going about it the same way at the moment.”
2 - Hawthorn
“They lowered their colours for the first time in quite a while.
“They’ve come back a peg based off that performance.
“Easter Monday proves to be fascinating viewing.”
3 - Geelong
“I’ve got Geelong at three on the basis of their victory against Adelaide.
“They played themselves back into the top four.”
4 - GWS Giants
“I just think that the quality of their opposition and the consistency of their performances…
“They’re scoring heavily and they’re not getting scored against. So their balance of offence and defence is looking really good.”
WHATELEY
1 - Brisbane
2 - GWS Giants
3 - Hawthorn
“I’ve bumped Hawthorn from one to three (after the Port loss).
“If you go 70-something points down…”
4 - Geelong
“Geelong won my play-in game so they move into four, displacing Adelaide.”
