Beveridge's opportunity to achieve "something special" with undermanned Dogs
SEN's David King was full of praise for the Bulldogs following their demolition of the Saints. The Dogs' 71-point thrashing was by far the club's most impressive performance this season, booting 15 goals to four after the first term to sink an improving St Kilda side.
With just one year left on coach Luke Beveridge's contract, King believes the premiership coach has the opportunity to pull off a special performance in 2025.

“No Sam, no Cody, no Jamarra, no worries,” King told SEN’s Fireball.
“Now is the time for 'Bevo' to work his brilliance.
“If they can challenge for the flag with all of these impediments along the way, it would be one of the great coaching performances, to minimum get to a prelim.
“You’re going down to number 28, 29 on your list.
“If they could achieve something special this year and make the finals, make the prelim, it would be one of the great coaching performances."
The biggest headline from the Bulldogs' contest with St Kilda was the return of Marcus Bontempelli, dominating the contest despite missing the first five rounds of the season.
On return, the Bont collected 30 disposals, 12 score involvements, eight clearances and two goals, putting on a rust-free clinic mirroring the champion's best.
"There are not many players that are able to miss this block of training and come back in and rip a game to shreds," King said.
“As a midfielder, they come back and they’re usually a bit fumbly. He was one touch.
“What did he finish with, 30 (disposals)?"
The Bulldogs will look to carry their form into Round 7 as they take on the Giants this Saturday.
