Could Hazlewood miss Second Test and beyond?
After being ruled out for the First Test due to a hamstring injury, it is being reported that Josh Hazlewood could potentially miss even more Test matches than initially expected.
According to SEN’s Tom Morris, there are now significant concerns that the Australian fast bowler could be out for the entire series.
It is believed that the injury itself is worse than first thought leaving plenty of doubt about an expected return date.
Initially, the New South Welshman appeared fine to play the First Test after having had scans that showed he was clear of any muscle strain in his hamstring following his Sheffield Shield match against Victoria.
But it would be announced just a week out from the match in Perth that secondary scans confirmed the extent of his injury, with Cricket Australia officials only saying that he had been ruled out of the First Test.
The Second Test will not begin until December 4 in Brisbane.
Australia has a 1-nil lead in the five-match series against England.
