Gold Coast’s Sam Flanders has officially nominated his ideal trade destination for 2026.
The 24-year-old has declared that he wants to play at St Kilda and join the likes of Jack Silvagni and Tom De Koning, who have already joined the club during the free agency period.
After having a solid 2024 season, the former midfielder has found himself on the outer at the Suns.
This led to plenty of interest from Victorian clubs such as Essendon and Melbourne who were interested in bringing him home.
But the Saints are believed to have offered Flanders a five-year contract, seeing him earn $4.5 million over its span, which was enough to get him over the line.
They are also reportedly willing to give up their first-round pick (Pick 7) to help secure his signature.
St Kilda are still expected to continue adding in the trade period, with Liam Ryan and Leek Aleer expected to move to the club after requesting trades to the Saints.
The trade period does not officially open until October 6 (Monday).
