Trade Talk: Ryan reportedly confirms preferred trade destination
West Coast’s Liam Ryan has reportedly nominated his ideal trade destination for 2026.
The premiership Eagles’ player is believed to have handed in a trade request expressing his desire to play for St Kilda.
Having told Eagles officials that he wanted to leave the club this week, the Saints have been heavily linked with the small forward, reportedly offered him a three-year deal, earning an average of $600,000 across the deal.
That also includes a trigger for a fourth year on that deal.
Ryan’s request is the latest name who appears set to join Ross Lyon’s side during the trade period.
So far, Jack Silvagni has also nominated St Kilda as his preferred destination earlier in the week.
His teammate Tom De Koning also appears set to join the Saints on a massive long-term deal worth in the vicinity of $1.7 million, according to the latest reports.
They are also expected to sign GWS tall defender Leek Aleer and have been linked to Sam Flanders as well as Cam Mackenzie.

The trade period will begin on October 6 and conclude on October 15.
