Cornes top 10: Who is the Trade Period's MVP?
The 2025 AFL Trade Period is under way and a host of names look set to find new club before the October 15th deadline.
But who will be the most sought after?
Christian Petracca has been linked with Adelaide and the Gold Coast, Charlie Curnow wants out of Carlton and it's all eyes on Collingwood veteran Jamie Elliott who is keen on a move north.
So who is the most valuable? Kane Cornes lists his top 10:

10: Judd McVee
"I’m not sure where I sit with him. He's 10th because of his age, he's got some talent. Had an average year and needs to get more footy."
9: Leek Aleer
"The physical attributes are there but still a lot of concern around his game and when he gets the footy he makes you a little bit nervous. But has the athletic profile to make a difference."
8: Jy Sympkin
"Not going to be a needle mover for you."
7: Brandon Starcevich
"He drops a bit because of the concussion concerns. He’s the toughest player in football to get a kick on. He’s so good, he is such a hard player to get a kick on."
6: Sam Flanders
5: Jamie Elliott
"Even though he’s 33 I think he can move the needle for a finals contender. Not many can kick 60 goals as a small forward."
4: Cal Wilkie
"He’s a gun. One of the best one on one defenders in the game. He's a star."
3: Zach Merrett
"Merrett is more prolific and uses the ball well, but Petracca is a better player.
2: Christian Petracca
"I've got Petracca ahead of Merrett, just more explosive and more damage."
1: Charlie Curnow
"Curnow is the most valuable player on the trade table."
