Brodie Smith was a huge figure at the Adelaide Football Club across the last 15 years.
The half-back retired from AFL footy in September after 15 seasons and 273 games at the top level.
Smith arrived at West Lakes after being taken at pick No.14 in the 2010 Draft and it didn’t take him long to make an impact, playing 14 games in his first season.
It was only three years later in 2014 where he shone most, making the 2014 All-Australian team as well as the 22Under22 team in the same campaign.
Smith’s best year from a team point of view came in 2017 when the Crows made it all the way to the Grand Final. Unfortunately for the dashing defender, he never played in the decider after rupturing his ACL in the Qualifying Final.
His absence in the decider as the Crows went down too Richmond was clearly evident.
Smith returned in late 2018 and he’d play full seasons in five straight years from 2019 through until 2023.
He discussed his big footy journey and much more on this week’s episode.
