AFL Awards: All-Australian, Players' award winners revealed

The 2025 All-Australian team is set to be officially been announced at the AFL Awards night at Melbourne’s Centrepiece.
Along with a raft of individual awards, the competition’s best 22 was revealed.
The selection panel, compromised of Andrew Dillon (Chair), Eddie Betts, Jude Bolton, Nathan Buckley, Kane Cornes, Abbey Holmes, Glen Jakovich, Laura Kane and Matthew Pavlich revealed their 22.

The AFL Awards night also credited three players with individual accolades for their achievements across the 2025 season.
Credited by the AFL Players' Association, awards for Most Valuable Player, Best First Year Player and Most Courageous were awarded alongside the All-Australian team.

AFLPA Best First Year Player
Fremantle's Murphy Reid is the 2025 Best First Year Player according to the AFLPA.
Most Courageous
Josh Dunkley has been named the AFLPA's Most Courageous Player.
Best captain
Adelaide's Jordan Dawson has been named as the AFLPA's Best Captain ahead of fellow candidates in Noah Anderson and Marcus Bontempelli.
The AFL Coaches' Association also announce give out their awards during the night. They only have the two awards in the Best Young Player and and the Champion Player of the Year.
Best young player
Despite being 28 years of age, Geelong's Shaun Mannagh has been named by the AFLCA as the best young player, having beaten out North Melbourne's Colby McKercher and West Coast's Harley Reid.
The award is based on a player's first two seasons in the AFL.
Speaking at the awards night, Mannagh also found the humour in the situation of him winning the award.
"It’s interesting, isn’t it?" he said.
"You’ll chuckle to yourself, but someone’s got to."
AFLCA Champion Player of the Year
For the AFLCA Champion Player of the year, it is a two way tie with Gold Coast's Noah Anderson and Geelong's Bailey Smith being awarded the trophy.
