Watson: Footy fans must spare Tanner Bruhn any boos this year

There are some serial booers out there, and you know who you are.

Come footy day, you take leave of your sensibilities, you project profanities and jeering to cleanse yourself.

It's a detoxification sort of thing. I understand that.

But spare Tanner Bruhn this season.

He has not done anything wrong, and he has suffered enough.

Bruhn did not commit a crime.

For a lie told against him, he was ostracised from the game he loves and left to dangle at the mercy of the law.

Thankfully, the truth was uncovered.

One can only imagine his personal torment.

Now, back in his most comfortable and safe environment, he deserves nothing but a good hearty cheer.

Now, fans, if some moron next to you boos at a game. Your job is to shut them down and deliver the facts.
